I couldn't bring myself to make picks last week after the horrid showing in week 3. The NFL season had taken the typical turn for "WTF?" at that point and I wasn't having it! Well after a solid week 4 showing I'm happy to announce that I'M BACK BABY! Before we get to the week 5 picks, let's answer a few questions about the NFL.
(Home team in CAPS)
BILLS over Eagles (-2.5) - This was a tough pick but the Eagles just look like they're right on that edge between pulling themselves together and taking a flying leap. I think, this week, they jump.
COLTS over Chiefs (+2.5) - Colts have had some flashes of mediocrity over the past few weeks, nearly taking out the Steelers at home on national TV. This week they finally catch the right opponent. Congratulations on your first and last win as a starting QB Curtis Painter!
VIKINGS over Cardinals (+2.5) - The Vikings are awful, but you know who's worse? The NFC West on the road.
GIANTS over Seahawks (+10) - This line could've been 20 and I'd still have a hard time talking myself into the Seahawks. I don't even like the Giants as a team at all, but the Seahawks on the road on the east coast in an early game is a recipe for disaster.
STEELERS over Titans (+3.5) - This line moved 1.5 points for the Titans in just a day. I'm still not sold on the Titans although Chris Johnson could have a strong game against the vaunted Steelers D-line if he were so inclined.
PANTHERS over Saints (-6) - Panthers are backdoor cover artists and the Saints defense isn't strong.
Bengals over JAGUARS (-2.5) - I don't think the Bengals are quite as awful as the Jaguars.
Raiders over TEXANS (-6) - This is actually decent matchup. I'm looking forward to finding out if either of these teams is for real.
49ERS over Buccaneers (+3) - I don't trust Buccaneers, but it doesn't quite feel right to have the 49ers at 4-1. Stay away from this one.
Chargers over BRONCOS (+4) - How is this line only 4??? Worse yet, how did this line move in favor of the Broncos?
PATRIOTS over Jets (+9.5) - Payback is a bitch!
Packers over FALCONS (+5.5) - Payback is not such a bitch!
Bears over LIONS (-6) - The Lions fall back down to earth this week.

I mean "NFL Picks - Week 5" is kinda vanilla. You might glance at
Yahoo's home page and watch how they create post titles to grab viewers to click. You might try adding a video or a related picture or two to grab people excited about everything've got to say.
Just my opinion, it could bring your posts a little livelier.
